International collaborations
- Revathy Venkatraman, along with Prof.C. Raghu Raghavendra, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Vice Dean, Global Academic Initiatives, University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Submitted a joint SPARC proposal in January 2020 and organized technical webinars in May 2020.
- Revathy Venkatraman, along with Prof. Raj Gururajan, Associate Head of School and Program Director of Master of Cyber Security at University of Southern Queensland. Submitted a joint proposal with him for Indo- Australian Research Grant related to COVID-19.
- K.Annapurani Panaiyappan, One semester during the period of January 2020 – June 2020 went to Universiti Teknologi of Brunei, Brunei in the School of Computing and Informatics. Have authored two books chapters in collaboration along with the two Professors of Brunei. Also have conducted one Workshop on Blockchain technologies during the period of June 2020 for their faculties.
- Kayalvizhi Jayavel Co-PI for the special Collaborative research grants to address Covid-19 pandemic. Among the various submissions, this team of experts from UR and SRM bagged this award with a grant amount of INR 45,00000 for their proposal titled “A Technologically empowered health care delivery in the era of Covid-19”.
- M.B.Mukesh Krishnan visited UC Berkeley, California as a Visiting fellow and undergone a Start up semester at Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology at the University of California, Berkeley.
- P.Supraja completed Indo-US WISTEMM Research fellowship at University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA funded by IUSSTF and DST Govt of India also She served as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK.
- MoU Signed with VEI Technolgies, Cube Difference, Vectra Technosoft Pvt. Ltd. and AJNA Labs to enhance students’ Internships, introducing one credit course, Industry Collaborative Project and publications etc.,
- K.Meenakshi worked in Taiwan-India Joint Research Center project on Artificial Intelligence – Smart Pandemic Prevention System (SPPS) organized by the National Chung Cheng University (CCU) and IIT Ropar along with SRM IST
Collaborative Initiatives
The department plays a pivotal role in academic collaboration with NEC-Japan, Society of Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS). The department also has academic pacts with EMC2 through academic alliance program. Dell, Microsoft, CISCO, TCS, Symantec, Mahindra Satyam, IBM and ORACLE are other corporate giants with which our department has collaborations for the benefit of students to carry out internships and project work.
